April 3, 2005: A family of four was brutally murdered. A curious neighbor heard a disturbance at the home and called the police. Instead of waiting patiently, he investigated himself. Less than ten minutes later, the neighbor redialed 911 to report that a half-man, half-dog creature had been eating his neighbor’s arm. His testimony is disregarded due to his high blood alcohol level.
April 17, 2005: A second family is attacked. A married couple is killed in the attack, though their five-year-old daughter managed to climb from her bedroom window and escape to the neighbor’s house. Her tales of a wolf-man cause concern as those details from the first crime scene were never released.
May 1, 2005: The third crime scene is discovered. Two are dead. The investigators immediately determine it is related. More details are leaked to the press and public.
May 12, 2005: A fourth crime scene is discovered. Five are dead.
June 03, 2005: A fifth crime scene is discovered. Four are dead.
July 19, 2005: A home video hits the national news stations, showing a film of a lycanthrope attacking a child. This event sparked the Enlightenment. Widespread panic erupts through the Terran humans.
August 22, 2005: The first two Internment Camps are opened, and the interments begin.
August 23, 2005: The Sirach home is attacked by a mob full of anti-paranormal sentiment in response to Senator Sirach’s pro-paranormal speeches.
February 05, 2006: Sareya Montgomery meets with Governor Domingo Martinez and Senator Mycal Sirach concerning an alternate plan to their unsuccessful diplomacy attempts. The Arrows and the Phantoms are formed.
March 29, 2006: New Mexico secedes and is formally renamed Orion.
March 29, 2006: Orion’s Vengeance, the night paranormals fight back to free and protect paranormals who have been imprisoned in the United States’ internment camps, begins.
April 01, 2006: The United States government treats the situation like it would any terrorist attack. They announce to their citizenry that no compromising or consorting with the enemy will be allowed.
April 16, 2006: Orion’s Stand; as the United States invades Orion, paranormals work to protect the land they have annexed from the United States. Domingo Martinez is killed during the fighting.
January 1, 2007: After a civil war and months of anarchy, coherent rule emerges in Orion with the development of a five-person Council. Lyrim Qrasha (Tuatha de Danaan), Jacob Smith (Tulevi demon), Aaron McNamara (human), Haji Fatimah (vampire), and Sean Wise (Ursus) compose the original Council.
January 3, 2007: Councilman Sean Wise is formally challenged and killed for his position as Terran Shifter representative. Kylie Drury (Latrans) wins the position.
January 06, 2007: Zoe Christopherson (human), Kalyna Konstyantyn (fae), Jason Greenwell (1/2 human 1/2 fae), David Larson (human), Anna Solkaiya (fae), and Mikaere Tama (fae) petition the Council to form the Committee to Maintain Homeostatic Climate Conditions (CMHCC). Their petition is approved.
January 22, 2007: Councilman Aaron McNamara (energy-working witch) is formally challenged and killed for his position as human representative. Sarah Lyons (pyrokinetic energy-worker) wins the position.
January 27, 2007: Councilwoman Kylie Drury (Latrans) is formally challenged and killed for her position as Terran Shifter representative. Linda Cross (lion shapeshifter) wins the position.
February 18, 2007: Councilwoman Haji Fatimah is formally challenged and killed for her position as vampire representative. Penelope Sirtis wins the position.
February 28, 2007: Councilwoman Linda Cross (lion shapeshifter) is formally challenged and killed for her position as Terran Shifter representative. Harold Simms (Bouda) wins the position.
March 19, 2007: Councilman Lyrim Qrasha is formally challenged and killed for his position as Tuatha de Danaan representative. Mebrid Choalite wins the position.
March 19, 2007: The Asez Holding trials are cancelled due to the turmoil in Orion.
March 24, 2007: Councilman Harold Simms (Bouda) is formally challenged and killed for his position as Terran Shifter representative. Ryan Johnson (jaguar shapeshifter) wins the position.
March 26, 2007: Councilman Mebrid Choalite is formally challenged and killed for his position as Tuatha de Danaan representative. Keawyn Asez wins the position.
April 30, 2007: Leslie Fisher petitions the Council to form the Hands. Her petition is approved.
May 10, 2007: The five Council members divide the country of Orion into six Territories, each member controlling one and the Council as a whole governing the Central Territory.
July 12, 2007: Sareya Montgomery meets with the Council and offers to reform and repurpose the Arrows. They accept.
August 28, 2007: Asez Holdings bi-annual trials are opened for Arrows applicants, as well as applicants interested in joining the Asez Holding Guard. Potential guards and Arrows are offered a three-day window to apply.
September 12, 2007: The Arrows break Sanctuary at the Otherworldly Bar and Grill.
June 01, 2009: The Official Laws are finalized and published. Taxation on businesses and legal citizens begin.
September 01, 2009: The Council appoints Mycal Sirach as Secretary of State on the condition that he organize and train Orion’s Agents.
November 01, 2009: The Council unveils Orion’s Tears, a memorial for demons who are confirmed deceased due to the actions of the United States’ government after the Enlightenment, in a dedication at sunset. The names are carved alphabetically into the granite walls of the first floor of the newly built Fortress.
January 01, 2010: Orion opens its borders to trade and tourism.
March 15, 2011: The Arrows—at the order of Sareya Montgomery—break Sanctuary at the Otherworldly Bar and Grill for the second time.
March 16, 2011: The Council holds an emergency session in an attempt to avert war with the Teharo Plane and appease Jo.
